earth worm and finds

just had to get out today so i hit up an old spot i haven't hunted for more that 15 years. had fun and found a few goodies.

it was nice and relaxing. i normally hunt late in the evenings till after dark so it was nice to be out and be able to see the whole time i was hunting lol
i found about a dozen worms that size today. i like to find them cause were they are the dirt is easy to dig in.

What I have found is that if earth worms and grubs are present, that means good earth. Not much mineralization and for the most part virgin undisturbed earth.

Whenever I find earthworms, I know I can up my gain, and turn up all the other controls and will be able to find the really deep stuff.

Whenever I find earthworms, I also know that coins will drop further into the earth due to the loam present. I usually do not find coins into the clay areas as they stop due to the clay being too dense for the coins to sink.
 
haha i like that. iv chopped a few thousand of them in half but never worried about them getting me back for it.
