Some kids on the west coast had the earrings set on the towel and upon getting out of the water grabbed the towel and launched them. They saw me working the beach and asked for help. It took about an hour as the backs where separated, all metal-delta pitch, .925 silver studs id intermittent 30-35, backs no id but threshold tone very minor change, dry white sand (salt) beach. Hand scoops to narrow it down once area found as the mesh on the basket let them fall thru. No ,the stone isn't real....genuine glass!
 
Klrbz, nice job finding the earrings. You may have saved another Pirate from having a heart attack if they had pulled the glass out of the sand thinking on first sight it was a real Diamond. Even thou most of us exspect them to be glass when we find those kind of earrings on the beach.HH
