It's been a long snow covered winter, but hopefully the end is in sight. This last week and a half or so has been pretty warm and a bit of the snow has melted off and opened a few places up for hunts. I have been itching to get the season started so I made it out as much as I could, about 7 hunts over about a week totaling about 12 hours. Silver has started good this season with 6 dimes, 1 canadian, 1 merc, and 4 rosies. I also got my first gold for the year. I got a signal that looked like a penny and sounded like garbage and probably swung over it 15 times before deciding not to dig. I took two steps away and decided to go back and dig it, it was a ladies watch, it rubbed off very clean and shiny. It is marked 10k gold filled, but any gold is good gold in my book! Also got an Aquarius lucky coin, a 5cent token for mints, 17 wheats, and about 150 assorted clad. Here is a pic of all of the crap I dug this week too, so you can see how many targets I dug to get a few goodies. Glad I got out when I did because we woke up to snow again this morning.. Hope spring is here for everyone soon and HH!
