Early New Years Present in My Change Today :bouncy:

Here's a nickel I found in a roll today. It might be a better discover than the last one I showed here.

I don't have the appropriate photography equipment to take quality shots of my finds, so you'll have to make due with what I can offer up. It's much better too see under a magnifier.

This is a 1999P Jefferson Nickel - Obverse doubling.

Strong doubling on the P; light doubling though obvious in the 9's of the date and in GOD. Strong doubling at tip of the Jefferson chin and and along the long downward portion of his coat collar.

The reverse may show the tell tale signs of having problems ejecting from the die.

Often I check the completed auctions for just about anything that's a collectible in my possession, and I have a ton of everything to check up on.

But lately it's been searching my change for all the D-Mint Mark State Quarters and D-Mint Mark Westward Journey Nickles. Most those that show up here in Massachusetts are in descent condition, a lot of luster. Later on they will be dirty, worn and faded, so I pull them out now. Not that I have anything against dirt:detecting:

The die variety and error search is something I like to concentrate on in the winters, never thinking I will find anything. Most of the times I don't.
