Early morning hunt with the MX Sport and the Detech 5" DD coil

Got out really early this morning for about an hour and a half, and hit an old closed up trailer park close to Randolph AFB. I'm told by others around there that the park dates back to around 1964-66 and closed in the late 80's. I had noticed last week that they had gone in and cut the grass and weed done again, and that is when I like to hit it. Still has high stubble, but its workable with a smaller coil. I have been using my homemade adapter to use the different coils I have. I had brought my 6x9 coil along, but never changed over.

I most cases you can still see where the pads were and find the concrete and paves walk and driveways. My goal was to work around the pads and dig any hits with a good sound and stable VDI.

Besides the usual junk and clad coins, I found a 1956 wheaty, a 1959 silver dime and a really neat looking brass finial or something like it.

It was a wonderful cool morning and peaceful dig all in all.

Later On,
