EarlthyPotLuck - Smooth As Pie Transaction & Stand Up Guy. & A Few Thoughts On Why I Like Buying/Selling On Findmall Better Than Other Sites.

Recently sold him my S-5 coil and found dealing with him low hassle and trustworthy. That's one of the reasons why I trust doing business with people on Findmall better than typical "auction" sites- Many of the people here we've seen posts from and known for years, and if you don't recognize the name just click on it and review their history of posts and how long they've been on. In particular too, see how they've dealt with others in past selling or buying of detectors or accessories.

Even if you don't find they have a history of selling/buying, if they've got a long history in general on the forum and posted many messages, then to me that means it's very unlikely they'd be looking to scam somebody or sell them something that wasn't in the condition they claimed. For the most part my thinking is- Who is going to build up a long history and reputation on a forum just so they can pull one fast one years later? Yea, nothing is ever a sure thing, but I like my odds much better on Findmall than other sites, and of course no fees being involved is another big plus.

Didn't even have to do these things to review EarthlyPotLuck's history, as I've enjoyed his posts on Findmall for a long time, so almost like an old friend I felt trust would not be an issue.

Tip- If you are looking to buy something, don't just wait for somebody to post it for sale, but instead put up a Want To Buy ad. I've picked up detectors or coils by doing just this, and often at a better price then what I expected I could find it for.

I agree with your post. no fees, I get to know the person better through posts and pm's, time spent on the forum etc. Like you mention who is going to build several years of history on Findmall just to pull a fast one? Then again like you mention, nothing is ever a sure thing BUT I feel the odds are much better hear then on auction sites. It was a pleasure doing business with you and you certainly made this a smooth transaction as well. So well, I should of asked what kind of beer you drink as I would of sent a 6 pack with the payment

For everyone that reads this post: For those that don't know Critterhunter,he is a valuable and informative hunter / forum member (Mainly in the Sov GT forum) that spends a great deal in reading and field research. Then he posts his findings so others may learn (like me) Critterhunter was one that really helped me out in the beginning when I first bought my Sov GT. I poured through his many posts and pm's and learned a great deal of info on how to operate the GT. He also provided tips and tricks to be successsful in the field. I can tell you with certainty that Critter is 110% trustworthy and a man of his word.

Thanks again - Jim AKA EPL aka Earthlypotluck

Thanks for that, and the extra $25 rebate I promised you for good feedback is in the mail. If I knew beer might be involved though I might have held out for something to sweeten the pot...
