Earbuds with Tesoro????

pine3874

Well-known member
Do any of you use earbuds with your Tesoro? If so, could you please post a link for ones that work well. Thanks

Everyone's hearing is different, and what sounds right for one person may be unacceptable for someone else, but the earbuds that sound best to me when used on Tesoro's are the Sony MDRE828LP/SLV model They're not expensive, the local Walmart sells them for $9.99 and new ones sometimes sells for less than $3 on Amazon, but they're durable and the volume and tone are just right for my hearing.

Thanks for your post, but I don't understand how you can use these earbuds since they don't have an inline volume control and the Tesoros also don't have a volume control.

Hi pine,

Earbuds suck, plain and simple, I bought a pair of them and went relic hunting with them, did not last a day in the branches and got tangled up on everything. I like Detector Pro headphones and the Ratler has only one earcup and is light weight and you can hear what is going on around you, and I use the UniProbe earphones that have a built in pulse induction pinpointer, these have the best sound of any I have ever tried, but they are expensive.

Hey Hombre,

Just trying to plan ahead for the Georgia summer. I have very light headphones now that serve my purpose, but they will be too warm to wear in the heat here, therefore was thinking about earbuds. Any other suggestions besides the ones mentioned in your post? Thanks

pine,

With the Ratlers and only one earcup, when it gets too warm on one side just flip it around and wear it on the other side for awhile. Works for me in the 100 degree heat.

I wear behind the neck headphones, the full cup type are too hot for me and I like to be able to hear whats going on around me in some places where I hunt. Get the ones with a single cord so they don't snag.

Earbuds attenuate the volume of the Tesoro so you don't need an ine control.

I got a set of wireles earbuds at Radioshack, Auvio brand #33-284 They have a volume control and work pretty slick with Tesoros. You will need to buy the 1/4" adapter, can't remember if you need the mono or the stereo version.

My Tosoro has a volume control
