I like the access to the controls, too, but I dont like that the multi level functions arent clearly labeled as to their alternate functions. Without a decent set of instructions, you're hosed! And let me be honest, the instructions that come with the detector are crap.... vague and more confounding than helpful. I've read and re-read them and have gotten more help from a few scattered posts on the internet forums.I used to have one N I Like the 14 buttons you can get to fast N change things, N it dosent have a delay for the target Like the XLT does
I too have the 600 Blue Max to go with the 950. I DO like the Eagle, although it is a tad heavy. But not so much more than, say, my Garrett GTP 1350. I can live with it.lockman434 said:I bought my Eagle II SL in 1991 (new). I have the 600 coil, 950 coil, Big Foot Coil, & the 15 in Hot Head Coil. I love this machine.
I still use it today even though I have a Whites DFX. I also own the other Whites machines. The Eagle is a deep machine. When you
get it set to reject/accept what you want you'll love it. When it says penny, nickle, dime, etc, etc, that is what you've got. I will never
get rid of my Eagle.
