eagle spectrum

New member
hey guys, i was hoping to get some reviews and thoughts on the eagle spectrum. if anyone has any advice or tops on this particular machine, i would love to know. does anyone make any aftermarket stuff for it...or at least for something else and will fit the spectrum too??? thanks in advance, Goob

An older detector that will still find good targets. The weight can be an issue. I recommend the books Spectrum secrets by Kevin Mulrooney(?). I had the first and third editions at one time. very good information. good hunting

If you are thinking about buying one, I recommend skipping it and going for the Spectrum XLT.
The Eagle Spectrum is a good machine, but the Spectrum XLT is a quantum leap improvement for not much more money.
However, if you already have the Eagle, don't fret. It is a good machine that is a bit heavy (as pointed out).
Accessories available include, but aren't limited to:
1. Invader XL-1 inline pinpointing probe
2. White's Blue Max 350 snooper coil
3. White's Black Max 5.3 coil
4. White's Royal 800 coil
5. White's Blue Max 950 coil (comes with the detector)
6. White's Blue Max Maxima 1500 coil
7. White's 4x6 elliptical coil

The 'S' rod, lower rod, and hardware are the same as the newest units use, as are the arm cup, foam, and arm strap.
There is a detector stand sold by White's that fits this unit as well. It is the one designated for 'SL' detectors.
You can still purchase battery cases, rechargeable batteries, and rechargers for this model.

There are also third party after market coils available, but I am not knowledgeable about those, other than the fact that Jimmy Sierra coils have been approved for use with White's detectors.
