Eagle Spectrum thinking about changing to DFX or MXT

OK, Got a Eagle Spectrum and have been impressed with its flexability and the technology given how old of a design it is. But, I want to do some more prospecting and with its low freq not sure this is the best Detector for where I live in Colorado. My preference is Relic and some prospecting with a little coin shooting from time to time. I have also noticed that my Eagle likes or dislikes Hotrocks depending on how you want to look at it.

I have also considered going with a minelab 705, a Fisher Gold Bug SE, or Tesero Lobo. I will be looking to purchase used.

Any thoughts on changing my detector.

Thanks

I can't comment on the DFX yet Bryanna (mines on the way) but from what you say your interests are, I think the MXT would be a great choiuce for you. It also likes (or dislikes) hot rocks though so if that's a big problem for you, you may want to try one first. That being said, I think the smaller DD coils should help you deal with that on the MXT so you may be fine. JMHO

As you read and search through the MXT forum you will realize that the MXT is no slouch in the gold fields, second only to the dedicated gold detectors. The MXT is a great relic and coin hunter as well. You would be disappointed with the DFX nugget hunting and the DFX has a very long learning curve. The one place the DFX will out shine the MXT is on the salt water beach with it's dual frequencies.
