EAGLE SL 90 DEEP SILVER PROGRAM ANYONE?

silverseeker 2

Well-known member
I am playing around with my newly purchased Whites Eagle SL 90 and am liking the features on this
bad boy.It has 6 programs on it. 4 factory and 2 for personal programs. I am hoping someone has a rough
Deep Silver Program they could recommend and I can tweak to my ground area. I appreciate all help
this Forum has.All I know is this machine will take time to learn to hunt with and be able to make
changes on the run.Thanks All!!!

Hi SS2 I started this Hobby on a Blue Box Eagle in 1988 , Thear wear 4 Eagles 1987 / 88 / 89 / 1990
I sold my First one, But now have a Eagle II SL 90 yes with the BIG FOOT Coil!!!!!!!
You never hear about the Eagle to mutch anymore???? The downfall was, Wen you pulled the triger she went to a second control layer on the control face N operators couldn`t remember wat it did????? So the XLT came out the XLT was a Eagle in diskise,
4Rget about the Deep Silver Program , On the Eagle the less Disc the Deeper so Disc out 95+ open from 94+ to 30 - With tone ID on go a bit slower Listen 4R the iffy Repetabel sounds im talking iffy if you get 78 to 86 or so you will get a Gut feeling after a wile Dig it,
Max out your Sens, The Bigger consentric Coils go the Deepest???? Hay Let me know????? Mickfin,

Hi Harold, I am not Mickfin but i can tell you that i have been past my elbow digging a Gold hart that was about the size of a 50c, had 63 diamonds in it. This was my first Eagle 11, that i sold to get a top end detector that didn,t go as deep. The 1989 Eagle was deeper than the one i have now the 1990. I wish i still had mt first one. I have a 6000 Di Pro that is just like the XL-Pro and it dose not go as deep as my Eagle. Mickfin can tell you better than i , but this is just what i have done with mine. Good Luck with whatever you get. Flintstone

Harold ILL, Sorry about that I was not following the thread, I agree with Flintstone, I had a XL-pro the Eagle had a edge on Deepth,
Max out your sens use the gain knob on the front ,
With the stock 950 coil, But if you get a 12" Hot Shot coil for the Eagle it will go even deeper yet, All Detectors will go deeper with bigger
coils, See the Eagle has tone ID or if you want one tone Letts you concentrate on your target better, Remember on a DEEP target
the VDI #s will jump around a bit more Cozz of the mineralization, So with that sad a good Ground Balance is the most important adjustment,
Also Eagles are not as expensive as XL-Pro`s I saw a Eagle II SL 90 going 4R $250 on E-Bay But ask hear on Finds Mallin the classifideds wear all friends her with better trust, I have a Big Foot coil a Hot Shot coil 5.3 Bullseye coil N a 350 sniper coil 4R my Eagle II SL 90 I just Love the Eagle,
Mine isent 4R sale But I bet you can find one on this forum, ask a Question I will follow this thread, Good Luck Harold, Mickfin,

Thanks for the reply. I have an XL-PRO and had a Eagle SL 90 for a very short time and didn't use it much at all. The XL-PRO I have is deep as I dug a wheatie the other day with the 9.5'' coil at 9''. It read a little high in the quarter range. I also dug a 8'' wheatie with the 5.3 coil so it will go deep once you learn the tone the deeper coins make. I have an 8'' coil on the way as a compromise between the two.

I think a Detector is only as good as the operator??? I had a XL-Pro also I think it was better then the new V3i as for as the Quality of signal, Mic
