e-track top shaft

Hi Guys,

Has anybody got a solution to the top shaft of the e-track where it goes into the control box stopping the wobble apart from putting a bit of vinyl tape inside the tube and down the outside of the shaft so it does not slip when you push the shaft in.

Regards Below2doe.

If it is then the cam lock is worn or missing the little metal insert that makes it tight I suspect.

Just replaced my can lock, they sometimes lose a small metal contact plate and/or wear out. Called Mine lab, got Brian in the service department and he sent me a new one. You just press out the brass pin with a small punch, replace and reinsert the pin. Easy fix.

Wow great thread mine does the same thing thanks

How do re insert the pin with out cracking the cam? And how do you punch it out with out cracking the cam? Thanks.

It's just a mild friction fit. I used a small punch and a few very gentle taps to remove it. Reinstall with just a few very gentle taps. If you don't have a punch you could use the flat end of a drill bit. And I don't mean taps with a hammer, I was using the handle of a screw driver. It's really easy.

Well, I did it open with the shaft removed.
