E track Recovery

Was wondering what the recovery speed on the e-track is like. Is it any where near Tesoro speeds? Just wondering because I'm interested in buying one. Thanks.

I have found that my good target recovery rate with my E-trac is most excellent.

I'll have to wholeheartly agree with ya on that Rich. Your question, recovery rate to me is bunk. If you hunt by ear it is immediate. When you hear that right warble tone. Stop and analyze it.

It is like no other detector I've ever used. I don't have to much experience with to many other Mine Lab Equipment except the X-terra 70. The Mine Lab X-terra left a lot to be desired in the volume category and I had to add a preamp just to be able to hear it. I have very poor hearing as I have to wear a hearing device in both ears. For what the X-terra lacked the E-Trac has more then made up for. I have dug numerous 8" to 10" coins many on edge and I never have any problem hearing my targets. (volume or tone) It's the best machine I've ever used. It's super hot on silver coins,Wheaties, and nickles, in fact it's the best I've ever seen in my 42 years in this hobby. If you purchase the machine be sure to buy a pin pointer as these machines are really hot on small targets. You won't go wrong purchasing a Mine Lab E-Trac. Rick -Illinois

great advice from tippyhound i also have a hearing problem as a cant distinguish tones but with the etrac i am finding lots of good targets on ground that has been hunted for years one warning if you get an etrac be prepared to get addicted as the thrill in the dig is real buzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I think most of the guys will agree that there are alot of tweaks you can do to the Etrac to drastically increase the recovery
speed.
I've found that these tweaks provide absolutely fantastic target separation.

You'll get the best of both worlds.....depth and speed...!!!

You will also not find a better machine for ID'ing iron and at depth.

Gaz.

I agree with you all. You can also opt. for a smaller coil to aid in target seperation and recovery but alot of members think the stock 11 inch pro coil does just find with this on it's own. All I know is it's a awesome piece of equiptment!!

This is a good video and it might help.

That's not really a very good video of the E-Tracs abilities. He's whipping that thing like it's a 1970's motion discriminator.

The power of the E-Trac lies in it's ability to see targets with almost zero motion, and the ability to identify targets underneath iron targets like nails.

Understood but if he is asking recovery speed or how quick it resets after the discrimination nulls out like a older detector having a "blind spot", but with the target between two iron targets it shows the timing. You are right about the zero motion and mixed targets.
