E-trac

Wondering why I see some E-tracs for sale recently on different forums. Did they announce a release of a new model for next year or due to the season ending for some due to the weather?

I got my ET from a forum member that said he just didn't feel comfortable with it - he said it was "just to high tech for him".
He said that he was just to use to the other brand of detector that he has been using for years.
Seems like the old Ford / Chevy thing - what ever you like the best is up to the individual.

As many in the forum would agree - I think the E-Trac is the best thing to come along sliced bread !

Good Luck !

I find the E Trac to be real simple to use compared to my DFX. Both machines operate much differently from each other. I have to re-learn my other machine every time I switch:rofl:. But I feel the E Trac has much fewer controls and out of the box goes deeper than my DFX. I took me years and a couple of books to get a great set of programs for my White's, but only 6 months to get a great program for the Minelab. Just my experiences though. HH

I think a lot of people buy the E-Trac because of the good luck others have, but don't have the patients to learn it and give up.

I agree that the recent E-Trac's are probably from seasonal hunters.

when i got my first e-trac there was a few for sale and then none for a while,i think people do not give it enough time to learn them ,i remember the first time i used it ,i was not impressed and i already had the safari so i new what to expect, but after a while of using it reading the forums and learning different settings i really love it ,i now own two of them, and also use the 12x15 SEF coil when i can,but the pro coil is also a great coil, HH, tony

I think this time of year (snow is coming fast!) some guys sell off and buy new in the spring. You see fewer guys having trouble learning the E-Trac than you did with the explorers. It can be hard for some of the guys used to the whites im told. You would have to pry my Trac outta my cold dead fingers before ill sell it.
