Any one out there use the factory gold program ?? What are your results?? I know for a fact it doesn't pick up a 11.8 gm gold ring-so I opened up the right end to get a large gold item.. I realize that not digging everything that you will miss gold -but don't plan on gettin everything...Tony AZ

I find the factory gold program to be too tight...Use the factory Coins or an open screen...

I think they are talking about the factory jewelry mode.
All those factory settings are a waste of time , its the first thing to do when you buy an ET is to change them and save new screen disc program's too.
I have had many Gold / Silver and a Platinum with my ET's over the years and even a Quarter Stater too so they have no trouble finding Gold provided the settings are right.
