E trac trouble

Hey all!! I ran into an issue the other day with the e trac. I was looking for a ladies ring along a frontage road that she had lost earlier in the summer. I have a pattern i use all the time just to find gold rings.
So here is the issue... after i started detecting and locating a target i would push the pp button to narrow my target area when the detector would go into noise cancel. I had it do it multiple times. I waited for it to do its thing and try the pp again same problem. Turned off the detector and restarted it and everything was normal untill I pushed the pp again than it would nc again. Whats going on??? I have used it several times again with no problems... Could it be semi radio interference???
Maybe someone else has had this issue??
thanks.

Strange. Never heard of that before. Being an Electronic Tech I Don’t believe this would be caused by electromagnetic interference. The problem is probably with the Key Pad itself. Do you see any noticeable damage or dings on the key pad.

That is weird, never heard of that before.-----Try doing a re-set.-----If that don't do it, you might call Minelab & try to talk to a tech.-----They will probably just tell you to send it in though.---If the Etrac is under warranty it would just be the shipping cost.

I don't even use the pinpoint,I wiggle back from 2 directions until the target disapears and the target is right in front of the tip of the coil,it's far more accurate in my opinion
