E-TRAC QUALITY

IM THINKING OF PURCHASING A N E-TRAC. Is there any quality issues to be aware of ? Are all made in Malaysia ? - thanks

I have owned Irish made, and Malaysia made .I did not notice any difference in quality. A well made detector in my opinion.
On occasion I have read posts claiming the Irish made worked better....but truthfully, "I experienced no difference on my soil"..
I think like any detector ..There are plus and minus acceptances in parts performance when being made / Assembled and sometimes those differences affect the operation a little.

I think the quality of my E-Trac is excellent. I bought it used and it is now four years old. I have been hunting for 38 years now and honestly, I will never be without an E-Trac from now on.

The same here I found a well worn 1916 Merc dime and I dont know if there is a mint mark plus a 1925 and 1925 wheatie in an very nice coin spill! I was able to dig these coins yesterday with the Nel Tornado coil! I am convinced that this a great and awesome machine. This would be my first choice in my arsenal by far!

I have an Irish made one and it was not used much by previous owner
It looks new I bought covers from a guy in Ukraine best covers made !
Keeps machine looking new!
But I also have a Deus and like it very much to I find coins that the Etrac has missed
And vise versa so I think owning two different machines really boosts my finds.

:beers:Hi; I got my E-Trac a couple of weeks ago for a steal! Today I finally took it out. Going to take some learning for sure. It is also my first detector so I have a long way to go. Good luck!

You have one of the finest metal detectors ever made. Best advice is to dig everything and learn the tones and numbers. Remember that even when it looks like it is trash it sometimes is something good. I got a 12-23 signal yesterday which would normally be trash but it turned out to be an 1875-1908 Chinese cash coin. Best of luck to you.

Thanks have to get out everyday and focus. But I will learn. Heading up to the mountains for a few months with my "detector" in hand....:usaflag:

I've hunted an area very small area curb strip well with Etrac and when I got my new Deus and went over the same
4ft wide strip I found more coins most were on edge and one was under a deep rock!
So like I said every detector has its strengths I like using both go over an area with one machine well then hit it with the other.
And seems to work very well no one machine finds everything.

The etrac and whites v3i are the top on my list ....if minelab would get a screen like the v then they would be the only one on my list......but they don't seem to have the tech. That whites has...or don't care what we think about not being able to see what's on the screen....other than that the E is hard to beat
