I just got an e-trac and I plan to hunt a 1740s housethis holiday weekend.I have never had a minelab and I am looking for help as to what program I should run.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Start with the factory coin mode. Take your time. Check out Goes Forever's web site and install his Two-Tone Ferrous program. As time goes by you will find what works for you and your ground. Everyone started just like you. If you have any questions or problems go to the forum. Don't forget to noise cancel. Good luck. HH :minelab:

http://www.thecoilist.com/museum/items/browse?collection=2 here's a nice link? Have had my E-Trac little over a week,i downloaded Andy's coin pattern and the coin and jewelry pattern right above it that's the pattern Ive tried lately seems to pick up better on silver half's and peace dollar better? Am wading through Andy's book now is there any way to run multi-tone in a pattern mode then have (TTF) in quickmask, without switching back in forth? HH

I would suggest just leave it in the factory coin program in automatic sensitivity. Set the threshold to your liking and learn the numbers and go SLOW. Its all about listening to the tones and once you learn the tones you can start playing with other setups. The Etrac is one of the best silver slayers out there!
