Sure this question has been asked a ton on this forum. Haven't been out yet as it's finally winter here in Buffalo, NY. Received the detector about 2 weeks ago. I have the Excal 2. I've been reading the manual? Should I just turn on and go for a while, get used to the machine, or try any modifications out of the gate? Sure I'll have lots more questions as I go. Had a DFX for a long time, but haven't been dry hunting in almost 2 years. Desmond in Buffalo
