E-Trac is Deep

I was hunting a football field sideline yesterday. I have a shovel that is only about 2" wide but is about 24" long. If a target is deeper than 6" and I can't get it with the Gator, I use this tool because it allows me to go straight down deeper without enlarging the hole. Got a signal and it came up as a penny but it was really deep. Opened the flap and took out two full depth of digging with the gator. That's about 6 inches. The X-1 was telling me I was getting closer so I used that narrow hand shovel, that has measured and marked rings on it every 2 inches up the handle. I was down a long way and almost gave up. On the last try I popped out a nasty green penny and haven't even been able to tell what it is yet. But that shovel was in the ground a truly measured 11 inches. It probably helped the ground was really wet. I was using the stock coil. Jim

I hear what your saying Jim.
I dug a 1959 Dime in fairly hard dirt ( not sand ) last Fall that was at 11" down !
I had a clean 12-44 target ID from top to bottom .
The E- Trac sure is a great machine !
