E-Trac in a competition hunt

bloo

New member
Can the E-Trac be set up to do well in a competition hunt on shallow targets where speed of recovery is important? Should I use my other brand fast sweep detector? If you were to use an E-Trac what settings should you use?

Thanks in advance for your advise and help.

OF course it can and wouldnt use anything else if i was in one.. The slow and low method is for finding the DEEP stuff.. You can swing that machine fast if you are hunting for shallow targets.. but then again.. not to fast!

Yeah....I second that.....BUT ..I would turn on FAST RECOVERY...........By ALL MEENS............TRY IT

good advice mc. Skipped my mind on that one. Also don't forget to modify the stock coin program to accept silver dollars. Which is line 1-41,42,43,44 to be safe. If you are going to use that setting that is. Although depending on the targets I might would use extensive nail reject pattern

Man seeded hunts sound fun. It seems to be about tricking the machine. But it's hard to fool that e trac. LOL.

Andy said to reduce the Sen. as well so you are not botherd by those deeper targets. Never hunted in one so others who have may be able to give some better input on that one.

Good luck and HH

I just got back from a comp hunt and I used the ET in auto and in coin mode it was great all the prize tokens were on nickels so I dug all I could find I left clad dimes and pick up all quarters half's and silver in 4 hunts I ended up with 12 tokens $8.30 in silver and $77 in clad HH
