E-trac headphone plug?

Anyone ever have a problem with the headphone plug cuting out when you move the headphone jack while it is connected? If I move it up or down it will come back on. It does it with both set of heaphone's I have so I guess it is the plug?

My Buddy that I hunt with had the same thing happen...he sent it to Minelab...they had it three weeks ...trying to make it do it....it did it to him off and on...Finally ,It did it for them after Three weeks of having it.....and they fixed it...Forgot what it cost him....out of Warranty!

Thanks as mine is long out of warranty also. One good thing though is I live 20 minutes from the repair center so I can drop it off and show them. I try to finish the season with it as is or break out the CZ-3D which is another depth monster!

Before you send your machine in for repair ...

Maybe try another set of headphones and see if the machine still cuts out - you could just have a wire shorting out in your headset - a very common problem.

Good Luck !

I did that already and they work good on my CZ-3D also so I guess it is the detector. But like I said you do have to move it up and down to get it to cut out. And just move it back and forth gets it to come back on so as long as it works again I will wait till the ground freezes.
