e-trac forgot one thing.......

How hard would it have been to add the time (tiny digital clock) to the e-trac and to other detectors for that matter. Do you know how convenient it would be to know the time when your out detecting all day without having to wear a watch or checking your cell phone every 2 hours. Just push a button and bam the time pops up on the screen. With all the advanced technology I'm surprised this hasn't been added yet. The e-trac is still a great detector though........ just needs a few tweaks to make it the "perfect" detector. Thanks for listening.....j.b.

How would the etrac keep the time accurate when the battery is out during charging? It would be annoying to have to keep setting it or to constantly see the wrong time

The same way all other electronics keep track of time, with an small, watch sized internal battery.

I solved that problem a few years ago.

I bought a cheapy LCD watch and fastened it around the grip.

They're available at most $ stores for.... get this... a Dollar:rofl:

I agree with djh. Adding a clock to the etrac is only going to make it cost more; a lot more than a $5 watch

I consider it like a casino. Have you ever noticed there are non? They don't want you know time day, just keep playing the slots. I use that theory while hunting, ignore the time and just keep digging more targets!

I would not want to keep watching time, that would ruin my hunt! I like to hunt till I am tired or I quit finding goodies

I agree with adding time to machine display. Also, an atomic clock sync. could solve the battery issue. Being a father of young children, extra time is hard to find. in fact, I hunt early on Sat morning before the family gets up.
I do need to know time, so 'I can get back in time to start the day with family. It is a little stressful having to leave a newly aquired spot that is producing though! Maybe that keep my detecting spirit up. HH, Mike

We must have the same lifestyles. I too am very busy with work, family and kids and everything else that goes with being a father. I have many appointments during the week so its essential that I know the time when I'm out dirt fishin. Wouldn't want to miss my doctors appointment, my kids baseball game and last but not least...........supper :)

A clock on the E-Trac would not be very useful since the E-Trac takes us back in time 19th century, 18th century etc!

similar! my clock is my arthritic knees!
when they say enough, i'm done !for the day!

(h.h.!)
