E-Trac Finds for Jan and Feb

Thought I'd post some of my finds for Jan and Feb with my E-Trac.

All of the finds in these two pics were found in the same public place that has been and continues to be detected on a regular basis. It's a very trashy site as most public places are. Myself and a couple of friends still hunt this place so I've blacked out the name on the pics. The E-Trac performs very well at this site. Almost all old coins here are deep. If the target is not at least 4 or 5 inches deep, it's probably clad. Many of the coins were 6 to 9 inches. On a few rare occasions, we would find a wheatie at 2 or 3 inches; most were much deeper. Not pictured are the 40 or 50 newer wheat cents that I've found here. I only put the older ones in the coin holders. Also not pictured are several buttons, two tin condom cases, lots of clad, and of course tons of trash.

I use the standard coin program with slight modification.

I can't compare the E-Trac to any other high-end machines as I have owned no others. Been detecting since 97 with beep and dig machines; until now.

For me, the E-Trac sure has made detecting fun again.

Here's my finds for Saturday March 14,2009.

I was detecting at a school yard in Parma, Ohio at an old school that has been there since the beginning of the 20th century with my E-trac. I had detected there before with several other detectors and I thought it was cleaned out.

The police came by and asked me what I was doing and if I was OK. I told him I was metal detecting. He said that someone had called the police saying that there is a crazy man with a stick always falling down on the ground in front of the school.

I then asked the police if what I was doing was OK and showed him a bag of garbage I had picked up in the school yard.

He said that no everything is OK but they had to respond to the call. They were going to send an ambulance! He wished me luck and asked if I had found anything. I showed him this stuff and he said " Man I should start doing that."

The sad part about it is that it was probably some old bitty city woman who could not keep her nose out of anyone else's business. City folk........crazy folk.

YOU SOUND LIKE A DEALER NO OFFENCE OK

No offense taken.

No, I'm not a dealer and never have been.

I now own 6 detectors.

Until November of last year the only detectors that I used were Tesoro's.

It's just that the E-Trac out performs any others I have tried. But like I said in my original post, I haven't tried any other high-end machines.

I also like Chevy's and I'm not a car dealer either.

I think the walking liberty half is one of the best looking coins ever made That's a great find. all of them are!!
