E-trac Battery question

Can One use 2500 rated rechargeable batteries in the Etrac... I notice Minelab only offers 1800...

I'll most definitely get the RNB batts but just curious...

Mine lasted four years before it started getting weak. I bought an RNB last fall and haven't looked back. I love hunting for 3 to 4, maybe 5 weeks between recharges.

..................Ok to run in the Minelab E-tracs. I read somewhere people were having issues with using to high a rated battery...These are regular AA 2500mah rechargables.. Didn't want to overload the system..
Just trying to confirm.... I know your system is 2900 but wasn't sure if all batteries were created equal... Do you know for sure if reg rechargers 2500 are ok ??????

Hi Elton,

I would never answer that question about the Batteries you are looking to use in your E-Trac.


We tested our Lithium-ion 2900mAh Batt Packs on the E-Trac and all the other FBS Machines for 18 months before we let them out on the Market..

I get 10 to 12 hours on the stock 1600 mah minelab battery.

both my etrac and se pro have 1600 mah batteries, sounds like minelab really improved on them

My mistake goldensilver, I see your talking about the RB battery, not the stock minelab ones.
