E-Trac arriving next few days

I am really excited to get my hands on my E-Trac which will be arriving in the next couple days along with the Sunray probe. Reading the posts here has ignited a fire which I need to extinguish by going out & detecting.

Gotta great deal from Lynn at Detector Depot & his package comes with some great extras which you should check out if you are in the market for a new detector and or supplies. Lynn spent the time to answer all my questions & was a pleasure to deal with, as was his wife who is his partner & does all the closing transactions. Thanks gain Detector Depot!!!

Good luck to all with your finds & I hope to post mine as soon as the weather gets in the 40's.

Don your gonna love the Etrac you have made a wise choice. Lynn at detector depot is a heck of a good guy. He personally delivered my Etrac and drove and met me half way when I bought my F75 from him. He also sent me a replacement pinpointer when I bought a faulty one from him instead of making me send it back in to manufacturer under warranty. You can't go wrong
Lynn and Detector Depot they won't disapear after the sale like some I have dealt with. He and his wife are my kinda folks.

Thanks John,
I felt real comfortable dealing with Lynn right off the bat & I could tell that I was dealing with a one of a kind dealer & a true gentleman. In the 1st minute I made up my mind that I was going to purchase the detector from him.

Looking forward to share my success & relish in yours & everyone else here...

Don, the E-Trac is the most outstanding machine. I've had mine since before Christmas and it has already paid for itself. I've been coinshooting and CW relic hunting over 30 years with Fishers and Garretts, so when my wife gave me an E-Trac for Christmas, I decided to put it through a test right off the bat. I went back to the yard of an 1880's house that I had hunted absolutely to death. I would have bet money that there was not another good target left, The very first signal I dug was an 1835 Draped Bust Half Dime in EF40 condition! The tiny silver coin was 9" deep and right beside some iron scrap. A few feet away I dug a 1912 barber half at 7", and the silver just kept coming. I had simply taken the E-trac out of the box, threw in the battery, and set it in the factory coin mode. Until something better comes along, the E-Trac is the only machine I will use. My only advice would be to go slow and scrub the ground, and listen for the pure sounds.

Good Luck, and happy Hunting!

you haven't extinguished any thing. All you have done is chuck petrol all over the fire! Man! it will get in your system and you want want to put it down. All I can say is, I hope you have a good divorce lawyer! (I'm almost kidding.)
All jokes aside, good luck with the new toy.
Mick Evans.

Mike that is an awesome coin!

that coin that deep and near iron, did you use the coin program that comes pre loaded?

Woe Mike, You got my blood pumping. What a beautiful coin, bet that find made your week.

You must feel real good knowing you got the best machine in your hands!

Neil;

Yes, I used the factory coin program with automatic sensitivity +3, deep recovery ON, fast ON, HIGH TRASH. I also went through the noise cancel procedure immediately after turning it on. I also believe you need to use a relatively slower swing speed to hear the deep targets.

I am convinced that there is no way you can walk past a deep coin with the E-Trac. Until something better comes along, I will use nothing else.

I am headed to the BGI hunt in Virginia in 11 days to see what this puppy will do on CW relics.

Good luck and HH.

Thanks alot Mike and good luck with the relics. I have been using a little quick mask for my hunting mode, pretty much the way I set my Explorer up when I had it. Another friend uses the coin program also, says the Etrac works well in these programs, I guess Im gonna have to give it a few hunts that way:surrender:
It is a great detector, Ive already had some nice finds as well.

Mike, the condition of your half dime is remarkable.

It could not have been in circulation very long before being lost.

Your good close-up images of the coin make it seem larger than it's actual size. As you stated, they are very small.

Good job and great pics!
