Up front I need to say that I do not understand how to e-mail a picture. For Christmas I received a Kodak DX 3900 camera. Got the pictures into the computer o.k. with the docking unit. Pictures print out fine. However when I try to e-mail from the Kodak KPS program I get a message saying I am not connected to the internet even though I am. Tried using picture on low res no help. How can I send pictures on e-mail? Is there another way of doing it rather than the Kodak KPS program? Keep in mind I am NOT computer literate. Thanks in advance for any help.

Generaly all you have to do is click on "New Mail" and the mail forum will open up.
You can then type your message. Then there should be a button labled "Attach" or "Attach File" or something like that. Click on it and follow it to your picture. Click on the picture and it will attach itself to the email.
Make sure the picture is small, bit size, or the person that is getting it will hate you :0) Usually you can get them down to below 30k. Some times a lot smaller.
Hope this helps

I'm on AOL. The Kodak program is KPS which is tied into the photo share system. The rest of the program works fine. But the e-mail is a flop. Thanks for the help, I'll give it a try.

how small is 30k in " And them will it not take so long to get or send ?

New to sending pic.

30k is not the physical size of the picture..You can have a picture that is 3 1/2 X 5 that is one Meg and one that is 25 k and they will look the same on the monitor. YOu send a 25k picture and it will take a couple seconds and the one meg could take 10 minutes to send. And recieve on the other end.
There are a bunch of programs that allow you to easily lower the bit size for emailing. I use Adobe Photoshop 6 and it could not be easier. There is a program called web-graphics optimizer that does the same thing.
When plan to send the picture, check the physical size, before you optimize it. Get it to a decent size and then optimize. Heck the pictures on mly camera come 28in wide, as taken and I have sent a couple of those things and been chewed out!
