Here's what I wrote to Fisher, tired of the NO Call Backs..........."Trying to order some parts for a 1270, sent 3 emails and no responses.Alot of bad comments about support and service on the net. Why can't you people treat customers better then you do. I own 5 fisher Detecters and never had this lousy of a time getting support before you changed over. Called about a coil problem and they said they would call back and never did, called again and they said there was know Susan there and couldn't help me with the coil problem, now I can't get parts for a lower shaft, ended up making the saft out of a piece of Oak.Can I get a little help...."

Don't think I'll get a answer this time either.

sorry to hear about the crap your going through man! well you know that f-75 matters to them that 1270 is old news to them!

Yae, got an e-mail from them that said they were busy and the lower shaft would be 14.95 each. Emailed them back and told her I didn't need them anymore that I made them out of oak, but asked her for the parts dept. phone # for the coil nuts and bolts, don't need them either got them at thee hardware store for $.50 each. Also told them about the supervisior Susi that never got back to me about the interchangable coil problem and that I'm still waiting to hear from them about it.

Shooter just for my future reference the 10.5 coil that you bought that would not pinpoint was a new one that they sell currently for the 1270.

No it was 10.5 I bought for my 1265-X a few years back, Fisher Tech. told me the older coils are not interchangable with the newer machine (1270) but the newer made coils are compatable with the older machine (1265-X). One coil has 4 wires and the other has 5 wires. The average buyer doesn't know this so they assume all coils for the 1200 series are interchangable as advertized. Kelly-Co and Fisher both are giving me a hard time. I bought it becuse all thinking I could use all my different size cois from my 1265X and save alot of money. Fisher says they can't tell how long ago you bought the coil. Dosen't matter I told them Your advertizing all 1200 series are int/changeable and don't state state any from of manufacture date on the coil. So the consumer thinks its all that series coil. Still waiting for an answer.Hope that helps clear it up.
