this abomination they call diggers and american diggers is not good in any way shape or form for any of us,it is going to get us regulated out of our hobby, kicked out of our parks, thrown in jail, property confiscated and detector sales to almost stop due to the fact you will no longer be able to use them anywhere legally,if we do or say nothing mark my words its over for us as we know it,we are about to come under major fire and hope this very important message motivates you to start sending those e mails Mole

We need a list of all the Advertisers too and go after them too.

That's not going to get the show pulled! Haven't you figured it out yet? The only thing that gets a show off the air is NOT WATCHING IT! When you get all your buddies to send those emails about how much you hate it, that just tells them people are watching. Love it, hate it, it means you will watch it even just to see how bad they screw up this week.

Ok, i've worked around the broadcast industry enough to hand you this advice. The production company couldn't care less about us or truth. Contacting them will yield zip. The network only cares about ratings and controversy sells and sells good! What matters is advertising dollars. They hold the ultimate power. If you can't find advertisers you're DOA. Normally the advertisers only look at ratings. But if they perceive that their advertising on even a well rated program harms their image with customers or will negatively effect sales they'll drop a program like a hot potato. The whole industry is advert driven in the end. Believe me, if they could get advertising you would be shocked by the drivel they'd produce. Go after the advertisers.

Dear friends, After watching the first two episodes of "diggers" I believe that the detectors used in the show were Garretts. Garrett and company surely wouldn't be sponsering these guys would they? Only reason why I'm asking is because I also seen Garrett gear in the back of the vehicles as they were collecting their detectors from the back of the hatch. If Garrett is promoting their detectors through this show (diggers) it could come back to haunt them. Once law makers ban metal detecting there will be no more A.T. pro sales or any other type units for sale. Not knocking Garrett because I own one but need to make sure this is not happening.....maybe good for the company but not good for the hobby.

George: "I see roundness"........

Bill........ " Oh, you mean that brown dirt spot where the metal detecting shop used to stand"?

speak out people!

100% accurate! kill the ads! kill the show!
just sayin'

and found no mention of the "Diggers" show............makes you wonder if they have already pulled the plug..........let's HOPE so!!!

Hawkeye Jim.

hopefully they will weigh what they have to gain against what
they have to lose, and make the appropriate decision!
just sayin'

According to what I have read Garrett did not sponsor the show in any way. I've been told that their products are featured on the shows because at least one of the guys on Diggers is a Garrett Dealer, but I am not 100% sure that that is the case.

Garrett makes some great detectors and I won't even detect without my Pro Pointer, but I hope that they distance themselves from these shows if possible. The publicity may be good for detector sales in the short term, but over the long term I think it will do more harm than good.

Hey guys, I e-mailed garrett a day or two after the show aired and they e-mailed me back and said they did not sponsor the show. They said they just happened to use garret equipment.

Which is a CYA lie! They had "diggers" images all over thier website and thier facebook page. It was very obvious they were supporting them in some way. They would HAVE to have Garrett's approval to show thier brand on the show or they could be sued for huge amounts of $$$. The fact that they both used brand new whites gear with the brand showing is proof of the approval.

Actually they no longer have to get approval. That used to be true but not any more.
