I was interested in the sunray DX1 probe for my MXT,
but just finished reading a lot of negatives on the
DFX forum....Did anyone try it on the MXT? I'd
appreciate any info.... <img src="/metal/html/confused.gif" border=0 width=15 height=22 alt=":?"> Thanks, and Happy New Year.

Matt I have the DX-1 mounted on my MXT I use ocassionally but only when I cant find the target with my Vibra Probe 560.It is another toy adds a little weight to the MXT also.Knowing what I know now I would just go with the Vibra Probe and wait on the DX-1.Watch the classifieds on this site and get a used one at a reasonable price if you feel you must have one,

Thanks, Ken, I have the 460 probe (also pulse induction), I hear that the 560 is much better...I
also have Whites Bullseye probe which I often must remove my headphones in order to narrow an area
down.....thanks again, I will wait and may possibly
not get one at all...too many negatives..I sure do appreciate these forums for aiding decision making.
Have a good one...year, that is........Matt

Dont think you will notice any difference at all between the 460-560--As when they first came out I called B. and ask that same Question and was told the only difference is the 560 floats-Other than that they are the same inside--I use thd DX1 on the MXT All the time along with the 14 in. and I have a bad back--Doc tried to get me to let him fuse it last week --I said no as I still want to detect--With lots of breaks-DeathWind1

Never heard a bad thing on DXi probe on the MXT or the DFX, might have to go to the DFX fourm and check it out.
I love mine on the MXT as it is so easy to use and the sound comes though the headphones so you dont have to take them off plus the depth is great with this probe. This makes it easier to find the target and much faster too.
I love mine and those around here that have them too think they are the greatest accessory they have for thier MXTs.

Hey Ken, I was also wondering about the dx-1, I have pretty much mastered pinpointing and finding targets with all my coils, but I just got the new whites 14" coil and am having some trouble with it, I am near smithfield n.c, if you are fairly close I would love to hunt with ya sometime and see if the dx-1 is a good choice for me. I currently have the 9.5"round,4x6dd,6x9dd,6" round & the 8x14dd. Thanks
