DX1 mount

Here's the DX1 mount I'm using. Mine is home brewed but you can buy the alternate mount for $ 20. I use it because it keeps my dirty hands away from my pod but it also shifts the weight of the probe back under your forearm.

I mount it with one clip when I'm hunting. It takes less effort to get off and on an again keeps my hand from dirtying the box.

I also keeps the cord closer to the rod and is harder to snag.

That mounting makes a lot of good sense. I don't have the DX-1 yet but when I do grab one....that's the way it's going to get mounted! What did you use for the clips? I have this awesome little hardware store by me and bet they would have something that would work. Thanks for those pics!! Scott

They are half of the original rod clips. The 2 halves are pop riveted together and could be put back together if you wanted to. Rob

Now there's an "easy button". (Looking forward to the DX-1.) Thanks and will be getting a hold of you Larry.
