DX-1 probe question

Does anyone else get a loud irratating BONG noise once you hit toggle switch back from probe to coil? I use headphones 100% of the time and my ears are getting real sensitive to this loud noise. Is there anyway to eliminate this?
 
Yes, I think this is normal for DX-1 probe. That's where headphones with a limiter switch is nice. Hope that answers your question. HH, Nancy
 
Mine does the same thing, but it really doesn't bother me I've gotten used to it. That lets me know that I have switched it back, one day I hunted for a while with the toggle on probe kept adjusting my machine thought something was wrong then I seen I had forgot to switch it back I probably hunted for an hour that way, talk about feeling stupid......:confused:...:rofl:
