The best that money can buy.....IMHO. There is no substitute Would'nt leave home without it. Well, I couldnt cause its attached to the machine (Which means you won't misplace it during the hunt). 'Nuff said. CCH
Hi I use the dx-1 on my MXT-PRO it will read the same vdi numbers as the Detector coil i also have White's pinpointer but don't even use it. I have had the dx probe for a year no problems it also has good depth. when mine ever go's out I will buy another one.
I agree with all the rest! I have had mine for years and I know Ralph (maker) stands behind his product and it's the best that money can buy. I won't be without one for ANY type of hunting. HH, Nancy
I've only owned the Bullseye II Pinpointer and the DX-1.
When I purchased the DX-1 I gave my Bullseye to my huntin partner and don't miss it.
So many advantages to the DX-1 that it's hard hunt without one.
One it's attached... can't loose it.
Two it reads on screen, you hear it in your headphones and the VDI's are the same as your MXT.
Three when you boost the gain it will get almost as much depth as the regular coil. For when you get those great pocket spills..
and the list goes on.
I did have a problem with mine and sent it in and it was repaired and back in a little over a week at no charge.
As you can tell I like my DX-1.
With the DX-1 working as well as it does, I don't see a need to try anything else.
Sorry I can't give you any comparisons, but you can't go wrong with a DX-1 IMHO
