Dutch Beach

Went to my local beach here in The Netherlands yesterday. Found a total of 41 coins, a total of 26 Euro that is $ 34,-

Luckily we have the 2 Euro coins. 2 euro is $ 2.60.

Also found 1 junk ring and some fishing sinkers. Still working on my first gold.

Hey, that's a good total for a day of modern coins! I wish we'd get rid of paper dollars here and go to coins. Would sure help our totals...

Wow, nice haul dollar wise. If you found that on a daily basis, it's almost like a second job, or atleast can offset the expense of MD equipment.

Gold would be nice addition.
 
Yes I was very happy with the amount of coins I found. Specially because I know this is a very heavily hunted beach.

2 months ago I bought a new Excall 1000 and a new Souvereign GT because I want to specialise in beach hunting.

I have not mastered both machines yet, but I know that I'm getting better every time I go to the beach..
I started to get a little bit down because I still have not found any gold with my new detectors, but I did find several junk rings already so I know I'm on the right way. I'm confident now that when there is gold present both detectors are more then able to find them. More then any other detectors I have ever owned.

I have more then 25 years of experience with metal detectors, but I have never owned a Minelab detector before. The BBS technique was totally knew to my.
It took me a little time to get used to, but I knew that these detectors had a learning curve.

Hope I can show some gold in the near future.

Today I went back to the same beach for a couple of hours. Found another 26 coins, 4 earrings and a small part of a watch armband.

The 4 peaces of jewelery all came from a small rippelcut several feet apart from each other. Strange to find 4 different earrings so close together.

Are the beaches open year round in Amsterdam? I hope to go there in the future and would like to take my metal detector with me. I want to go to Amsterdam next year. My last visit was in 2007, but everytime I try to make another trip, something seems to come up and cancel my trip.
 
Yes the beaches are open all year around. Amsterdam does not have a beach, but you can go to one of the beaches on the west coast. Give me a call when you are in the area
so we can do some hunting together.

Goedemiddag Mary,

leuk van je horen. Ik zoek zelf al meer dan 25 met een metaaldetector hier in Nederland.

Waar woon je precies in Amerika. Ik ga namelijk ieder jaar met mijn vriendin en zoontje op vakantie naar Amerika. Ik ben er inmiddels al zo een 15 keer geweest. Voornamelijk Florida de laatste jaren maar we hebben ook meerdere rondreizen door Amerika gemaakt.
