Dumb Question??

the stock coil for the tejon is a mono, is that the same as concentric? If not, what is the diff?

The Tejon comes equipped with the 9"x 8" concentric coil not a "mono" coil.
The mono coil has only one loop while the concentric has two loops.
One is the transmit coil which is the outer ring and the other is the receive coil which is the inner coil and is shaped like a
"D".
I believe mono coils are only used on Pulse induction type detectors, but not positive.

According to the Tesoro website it comes with a monolithic search coil. Anybody know the deal with this?
