Dug my first Standing Liberty Quarter! :super:

I moved away from my honey hole today to work a different part of the park. It really wasn't that far from the tree I've been working, maybe 40-50 yards, but it was a different section regardless. The start of my hunt sucked. I was digging nothing but trash since I decided to open-up my pattern a little to accept "gold" targets, and oh boy, those "gold" pull-tabs came pouring in! It was pretty frustrating. Tab after tab. Crushed can, twist cap, junk junk, and more junk. I actually thought about calling it a day early on because I just wasn't in the mood to do an entire Police Call on the whole park. Then I noticed a tree that was very similar to the one I had been working just 50 feet behind me. Old, and large, with a visible root system. Why not detect it right? So I focused on the largest root, and as soon as I swung the coil next to it the E-TRAC started to scream. 11-46, 11-47, 9-49...etc. All the right indications of a silver target at depth. I focus the camera on the coil, wiggle it back and forth for the viewers to hear for themselves, and it's just screaming and screaming. The best repeatable perfect silver tones ever. Next, I prop the 'TRAC up on the Raven, which I use as a stand when I'm done digging the plug, and just as I hit the hole with the Garrett Pro Pointer it starts to tag the target within seconds. With one scoop of Lesche I see a silver edge. OH F ME! I also scratch the edge with the digger! ugh. I could see the mark right away even before I completely removed the coin from the soil. Now I'm being even more cautious and start to dig around it. I know it's a quarter based on the size, but what year? We'll find out in a second just as I pull the coin from it's Earthly home, and then my jaw hits the floor! NO WAY! IS IT?! IT IS! IT IS! Finally, the one coin I've wanted from the start of my hobby. Staring up at me is Lady Liberty on a beautiful 1920 SLQ. Nice detail. I just couldn't believe it. It completely made my day. I hope all of you enjoy the video, and my excitement as I realize what I had found.

Very nice SLQ, I have 1, but unreadable date. I did notice the toy car in your bag! I love digging old
toy vehicles. I have many and keep them all no matter what condition they are. :usaa::minelab:

Congrats, very nice. It's still on my wish list as well.

Nice video Ron! Thats what I've done when videoing and what I like to see. The actual bad with the good! Congratulations on your first SLQ. Mine was a 1920 as well and I think I put that on my second video with the FULL Dig! I love seeing people get their firsts on camera!!!
