I dug everything above iron, yestrday I got three early date wheats, but I knew there was an indian hiding somewhere. This place is OLD!

Well here is a picture of the trash I dug, if it was non ferrous I dug it...lol

then finally I got a solid coin signal, grabbed my camera and caught the dig video! Pretty nice shape 1879, man if it had just been 2 years older.

here it is all cleaned up, pretty nice for a field copper, normally they are pretty bad from the fertilizer.

That IH is sure in good shape, I will be willing to bet that you will find more at that site.

and I do appreciate seeing all those "non-coin" targets. A lot of guys new to the hobby think that every target will be a coin. Nice to see the "real world" experiences of another coinshooter! I remember a post I made after field testing the X-Terras. I had a couple 5 gallon buckets of non-ferrous "trash". (remembering one man's trash is another man's treasure) Since then, I've managed to avoid quite a bit of it. But I still dig lots of targets that aren't specifically in what many consider to be the "coin range". Congrats again. HH Randy

Randy this field is so trashy and iron filled it is hard to get just ONE target under the coil..........and I am using the 6" coil !!!

so very frequently the VDI numbers are not right because of junk being close to a coin, etc.....so when on a site like this I dig EVERYTHING

plus you never know what an old relic might register as and no better way to tell then to just dig it all!

I am laid off right now, so i have plenty of time to dig, this site is only 5 miles from my house, so I am just gonna keep hitting it

That is a beeeee-u-te-full Indian!

They never look like that here in New England :-(

You are tearing it up this year!

Paul

I have a love - hate relationship with those types of fields. I hate the fact that the targets are so close together that it makes separating the signals nearly impossible. But I love the fact that I can continue to go back and (occassionally) come out with a nice find. For those of us who are willing to hunt these types of places, we can take solice in the fact that we are in the minority! There ain't many who would spend so much time, trying! As such, we are able to remove lots of junk, clearing the way for some goodies. All the time knowing that others drive right on by, because it is full of trash! I like your perseverance! Keep up the good work. HH Randy

plus the fact it is 5 minutes from my house I will continue to pound this place. I know for some they can go to a place and find 6 - 7 silver, and 8 indians in one day, but for me, it is worth hunting hours to recover one indian that has been lost for 100+ years. Just to think we are the first person touching that coin in a century makes it all worth it to me!

Them indian"s Seem like they can't hide from you. Can't wait to see how many more indian's you get from that site! Great video...Good Luck.
