Dug a nice multiple silver coin spill today!

met up with 3 other buddies today and we hunted a 1920's farm house he had permission for, we pounded that place hard for 4 hours, right off the bat I got a wheat then another, then I got a real mixed jumpy signal, but sounded real sweet in all directions, in that one hole was the following:

2 1944 war nickels
1935 buffalo
1944 merc dime
1941 canadian penny
plus a token that was so corroded (aluminum) I did not post it

managed the above plus 7 wheats for the day. Good day when you can get 3 silver from one hole!

well this is my 2nd full season. I bought my first detector in winter of 2007 so I hunted all last year and all this year. I hunt a lot (I am laid off) so I am hunting 6 days a week, I get on a lot of good sites because I research all the time and constantly call people or go visit people to ask permission, and lastly I dig a LOT, I get a lot of trash but not always, like today this farm was fairly clean, I dug 2 pulltabs, 2 scraps of aluminum, 2 odd pcs brass, and the rest was all coins. But normally I bring home 30-40 trash items

well .....
friend #1 who hunts with an ace 250 got a token and a wheat, both of them I got the signals and called him over and let him dig them, I kinda felt sorry for him because he was not getting any coins

friend #2 (whites DFX) got 2 wheats

friend #3 (whites DFX) got 1883 indian and 3 wheats

Great job on the silver spill. I've noticed on the Xterra 70 when there are multiple coins in the hole the detector kinda tells you by the tones and the number averaging to dig. It is the only detector I've used that those mixed signals seem to give you enough info to make you dig. I'm goin gtomorrow to a known silver producing site. Hopefully I'll have some silver and wheats to post. HH
