Sorry I didn't get these finds posted yesterday.. Between the long drive and all the digging.. When I got home I wanted to do nothing but sleep.. I took my lady along for the hunt.. We drove about two hours to meet up with my buddy Jim at a park that produced some amazing finds in the past.. This place has been very interesting for us.. Between the two of us We have dug hand fulls of Indians and Wheats, and more silver quarters than dimes. Everything at this park is DEEEP. This place floods every year and these coins do nothing but sink down. Everything Ive dug has been many inches past my digger.. What I thought was most interesting was for the amount of wheats, Indians, and quarters.. We haven't found many dimes.. Maybe five or 6 between the two of us.. I had this theory that the dimes were just so deep and weren't getting the "halo" as the copper coins.. the detector wasn't hitting them hard enough to get our attention.. So I cranked up the manual sensitivity and cruised through the park at a snails pace. I was digging anything that gave a chirp.. It seemed to work out very well this time... I must say. Everything I thought was a nail.. Was a nail.. Between the pinpoint function and the overall tone.. When I hit a coin, they were giving enough of a good hit to be unmistakable. After about 4 hours of heavy concentration.. I walked away with 10 wheats, two Indians 1904 & 1906, and two Mercs 1917 & 1918D. I was definitely surprised and wasn't expecting much out of this hunt.. The last couple times we hit this place.. We both got skunked.. I guess the conditions were just right this time..
Thanks everyone and GOOD LUCK
