Went relic hunting with a friend { Little River Gary } today and had a great time. Gary dug a block I button along with some Eagle buttons and a 2 cent coin. I dug some Eagles, cross cannons and this CSA staff button. Look close and you can see the CSA in the shield. Happy hunting Charlie

That's a great find. That's a general service button. If the back is marked "Rivet'd & Soldier'd and has the lion, unicorn, and coat of arms, it is one of the rarest backmarks found on CSA buttons.
