Dug a couple of indian head cents today.

After watching BRATNY dig that 1877 indian head cent over the weekend, it gave me renewed hope that maybe there is one out there waiting for me. Was lucky to squeeze these two out of the city park today. A nice 1904 that should clean up beautifully and maybe one that was an 1877 at one time, but we'll never know as the date is worn smooth !

Dimes, SLQs, but seldom cents. I did dig a LC two years ago that was so worn couldn't get a date.

Have you dug other smoothy IHs Ed?

A couple of nice ones, congrats. As the silver finds decrease in the parks I hunt, I can still find Indian heads without too much trouble. They have a unique sound, although I get fooled by the screw caps from miniature liquor bottles.

Unfortunately, we cleaned out the silver, then the Indian heads and the last couple of years we've taken care of most of the nickels ! More and more hunts result in no old coins. Need to find some new spots.
