Dug a Confederate Sheet Brass Belt Buckle today!!

I dug a nice CS Sheet Brass Belt Buckle, and a few fired and dropped minis and pistol bullets!

The stuffs still out there, you just got to put the loop over it!

That is pretty neat. How do you know it is Confederate? What's the deal with your control box?
That looks like a hot spot you got there. Congrats.
 
I've dug several of those but have yet to identify them as anything other than a rectangular brass plate.DBULL
 
Then I would suggest you get a copy of "Confederate General Service Accoutrement Plates" by Dr. Lon W. Keim.

This is a great reference book on Confederate buckles.
