Dug a 1909o Barber Quarter/Elk ???

Hi guys, I need some help with this one. I was at a small park in Milw. Or. and dug ths interesting coin. It's a 1909o barber, but at some point it has been stamped/formed with what looks like an elk or deer head breaking through the front of the coin. Can any one chime in as to who or how it was made? I know the 1909o is a semi key date and it looks like it woild have graded an F12 before it was stamped. Is it valuble as a collectors item?

Maybe a member of the Elks did it as a pendant to wear. Masonic pennies are found occasionally.

wow that is a POP-OUT coin........SWEET, I want one of them so bad. I have seen a lot of mercs like that, but never a barber quarter, GREAT FIND!!!!!!!

I don't see any with an elk though, it might be real rare!

I have found a few Love tokens where they shaved off one side of the coin and had it engraved , but I have never seen or heard of a coin like these.

This is a 1921 Morgan Dollar punch out that was received from my dear mother-in-law who has passed

I have always admired it and never knew this coin punch out thing was a trend

Thnaks, I don.t think there was a fair grounds but the area is very old part of town. Tha park is less than an acer.
