Dual Headsets ?

Julian Walden

New member
I have a GTI 1500. My wife wants to metal detect with me. Can I put a splitter on my battery pack and run two headsets at once? Anybody ever try this?

Julian : You can get a 2 way hook up at Radio shack or Source. It consists of a male jack that fits in to your detectors earphone outlet and it has 2 female plugs. One for your headset and one for the wifes..I used to sell detectors and that is what I used in actual field demonstration so the newbee could hear the different sounds. HH Ken

Don't know why it wouldn't work. Should be simple if you can find a splitter. I'm certain they make them for stereo equipment. Try Radio Shack.

Thanks Guys!!!! That is what I need. I don't suppose there is a problem with driving two headsets. Thanks again everybody !!!!! Julian

Tell your wife that she can dig all your hits and and if she still wants to go with you, buy her a ace 250, good way to break her in.

My wife is handicapped and cannot hold a detector in either hand. Needless to say she cannot dig. There is nothing I would like better than having her to detect with me. Since pulling the headset draws the battery so fast, this is my only option. Thanks anyhow for all the suggestions. Julian
