Greetings,

2 of the knobs on my DF became stripped, I contacted Whites and they sent me 4 replacements. The problem is that the set screws are so small that I can't find anything to tighten them with. They're not a flat head or phillips, the repair guy at Whites told me that they just use the smallest allen in their allen set and it works, BUT NOT FOR ME! I have to metric and 2 standard allen sets, neither work. It doesn't look like an allen to me. I've even tried a hex driver, no bueno. It would be ridiculous for me to send my unit into Whites to have some knobs screwed on, but I'm at my whit's end.

Thanks,
DF

I don't know the size but I had one in my small allen set. I keep it in my detector bag now. Works on my CZ knobs also.

Just checked my PI Pro knobs. The hex key size is .05" If you have the proper size, make sure there is not a burr on the end of the key. Examine the socket head for any lint or obstruction.

It is most likely a TORX screw which can be mistaken for a ALLEN screws.
