Dual Field question

Are any of you that own the new dual field previous surf pi pro users? What, if any , are the differences that you find between the two? White's advertises that the 6" section of their 12" coil is good on small gold. Thinking in vlf terms, a 6" coil would not be the choice for depth, Would this machine be a good choice for very deep fresh water recoveries? I have very little black sand and want a machine that will go a little deeper than my pi pro. I have been given the chance to pick up a dual at a good price and want to upgrade my pi pro. I use my pro in fresh water and have made some excellent recoveries with it

I've had the SURF PI, the PI Pro, and currently the Dual Field. The answer to your question is in the name. The 12" coil and the 6" coil operate simultaneously creating the "Dual Field". It certainly helps with pinpointing and is super sensitive to gold. You won't have any problem with depth. Your problem will be the size of your scoop. LOL. Seriously, this is my second summer with this machine and I can tell you it is awesome in salt water. You would benefit in fresh water by being able to adjust the gain and pulse delay. If you walk over it you will hear it.

Just one Surf Pirate's humble opinion.
