Dual Field PI Purchase

Gator Gold

New member
I know there has been some previous discussions about how prices vary depending on which Whites dealer you purchase the machine through. Can someone that has bought this unit recently get me some contact info and what price you got for it. Last price I get quoted was $899 + tax. I'm trying to avoid buying in FL so I don't eat the taxes on it.

Thanks

Just be careful about this. I am NOT an accountant, and I am NOT familiar with Florida law, so this is NOT tax advice. I do however remember hearing that when you make a purchase from another state, the responsibility of paying the taxes on the item becomes your responsibility as opposed to the retailer's responsibility. You are supposed to declare the purchases on your tax return. Again, I am not a tax attorney, nor an accountant, but think about it reasonably. Do you really think that states would create a loophole like this that encourages you to buy out of state so that your money goes to another state and the state you live in gets nothing?

On a separate note, if you have a local dealer, it might be a good idea to deal with them. Yes, you will have to pay taxes, but you won't have to pay for shipping and you will have the benefit of getting advice from the dealer about local conditions, hunting tips, and other information. You will also have someone local to deal with if problems occur. This of course assume that the local dealer is knowledgeable and actually detects :)

Not exactly the advise I was looking for. I'm sure everyone here is responsible enough to report all profits from the gold and money finds to the federal government on their tax returns as well.

If anyone has some pricing info, please send me a private message.

Thanks

Buy the Surf PI from a non-sales tax state and be done with it. Delaware is what I am thinking. I paid 809.00 cash for mine.

Check you PM...

Califorina also has on their State tax form if you bought anything off the Internet, to fill in the line and fill in the est tax owe
so far i don't know anyone that bought anything off the internet

Or file a long form and create an L.L.C. and declare all your losses for the year and corporate expenses..............2 can play that game.
