Dual Field - PI PRO ???

Dear all!

Is there a major conceptual difference between SURF PI PRO and DUAL FIELD, and if so, what is it? Or just a different coil?

Does DF really have a big advantage over PI PRO?

If so, is PI PRO upgradable to DF?

The 2 differences is the PI PRO has a 950 coil the new DC has a 12 inch coil, the other change is they added a pulse delay to the DC.. you would have to ask Whites if the PRO can be modified.. I have the PI PRO but am picking up the DC on the weekend..
 
I heard from a dealer the other day that White's is going to phase out the PI PRO and focus on the DF once the bugs are out. In other words, I'd wait on the DF until all is worked out.
 
What bugs? I've heard nothing but good things about it..

I spoke with Whites after your post ... Whites told me they won't put a detector out thats not ready..

This detector has been around for years, I seriously doubt that there's "Bugs" to work out. :pulltab:

All they did was to improve on their existing unit. Installing a newly designed, (proven) coil, and added a much needed pulse delay control, ( just like it use to have on it).
