Dual Field finds more gold....

Craig-PI

New member
I went back to the same beach I was at yesterday and I hunted a trough carved out in the wet sand today and even though it was loaded with trash I did pick up 4 rings 2 being gold the other 2 junkers... I also found 1 silver dime and 2 wheat pennies... the new PI is killer on deep quarters and dimes... the rings were not too deep they averaged around 2 scoops..

One of my hunting friends was at the beach when I pulled in and he was hunting the dry stuff and before putting on his waders and joining in... he found alot of change and the 9 carat gold ring and 14k medal...

Congratulation's on your Nice finds....... Yes 75% of all beach jewelry is found in the Mine area of the surf (waste deep) I have 4 hours on my New Dual field and love it.

Max... I'd still have my Excal if I could swing it fast... who knows maybe someday I'll have another one :) If you have bits of wire down there then you don't want a PI ;)

I really appreciate that Bobbie.. ;) You know how much trash a PI finds lol....

Craig, was the "super chunky" ring 18K???

In a recent post, I like what you said about bottle caps singing with the long wow tone, that should make it easy to ignore if wanted!

I like that it has a frequency adjust too. It sure sounds like ear training should work well with this machine.

I'm curious about the different tones in regard to possible metal type, size and depth. Please keep us posted on this subject
as I'm looking hard at this one!!!

I haven't had the ring tested yet but its on my list :)

My PI's only have 1 tone but certain things like pieces of wire and bobbiepins can have a broken scratchy tone, iron will be a long drawn out tone... I listen for narrow sharp signals.. deep targets are often whispers or a slight break in the threshold...

With the adjustable pulse delay one can and I don't want to say discriminate because thats not what it is but one can turn the pulse delay up and pulltabs and bobbiepins will not be heard but doing so you will be giving up deep nickels and gold and at least for me it would be defeating the purpose of the PI... I'm after depth I can't get with a VLF machine.. I'll dig every signal....
