Dry sand finds - 1942 Wheatie, diamond engagement ring and Hot Wheels Dogfighter...

Went to one of my usual spots and landed these dry sand finds.

The ring is 14k gold, but the diamond is only .15 of a carat (inside is marked). It tested real, but I wish I'd start finding some bigger diamonds. All the ones I find seem to be on the small side...

Well, a diamond is a diamond... and I also found a 1942 wheatie and another cool Hot Wheels toy. This one is a "Dogfighter," but how was it supposed to fly without wings?

Finding any size diamond ring puts you in the minority of detectorists, some of whom never find a gold ring at all. WTG Stacey!

Sweet! When you're finding the smaller stuff you're definitely on the right track. I know that had a nice LOW Excal-growl! Do you find it to be true yet that when you get that real-deal gold ring under your coil you KNOW you have something good? It's a very distinctive sound to me. Nice work.
